This is based on the statutory requirements for accessibility – in particular the Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG) (Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities) as well as the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0) (Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance).

Statutory requirements

The statutory requirements for accessibility arise from the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) (Accessibility Strengthening Act), in particular § 14 in conjunction with § 3 (1) BFSG, with reference to the Verordnung zum Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSGV) (Ordinance on the Accessibility Strengthening Act).

Compliance with accessibility requirements

Our website is largely compatible with the requirements of the BITV 2.0 and the BGG. However, some content is currently not yet fully accessible. We are actively working on improvements in this regard.

  • Images and graphics: Some images – particularly purely decorative images – do not yet have complete or meaningful alternative text.
  • PDF documents: Older PDF files are not fully accessible. For newly created PDFs, we pay increased attention to accessibility.
  • Contrast and font sizes: Contrast and font sizes in certain areas of the website could still be optimised.
  • Keyboard navigation: Some interactive elements can currently only be operated with the keyboard to a limited extent.

We are continuously working to further improve accessibility, so that you can use our content with as few restrictions as possible.
