Example ration for a horse with a body weight of 600 kg / per day

Our classic: The liver-gentle ration

Feed Amount
Hay (best quality) 9 to 12 kg
Amino-Muskel 50 to 70 g

Tips for your horse

If more energy is needed (without EMS/Cushing’s/PSSM): hydrothermally processed maize flakes, e.g. Naturell-Mix. For horses with EMS/Cushing’s/PSSM: supplement with Faser-Light*, MyoCare* or a little Lein-Distel-Öl (*Force can then be omitted)

Liver-friendly, low-starch ration for a horse with EMS, Cushing's, PSSM etc.; also animals with little work or overweight

Feed Amount
Hay (best quality) 9 kg
Faser-Light 0.75 kg
Amino-Muskel 50 to 70 g

Tips for your horse:

If the horse needs to lose weight, this should only be done very slowly and through gentle endurance exercise. Abrupt reduction diets must be avoided (they place a heavy strain on the liver) Haylage and silage should be avoided as far as possible. Very good quality protein, meaning an increased intake of essential amino acids, is essential to protect the liver.

Liver-friendly low-starch ration for an underweight horse with light to moderate work

Feed Quantity
Hay (best quality) min. 12 kg
MyoCare 1 to 1.5 kg

Tips for your horse:

If needed, 50 ml Lein-Distel-Öl (split across 2 meals)

Ration for diagnosed liver damage

Feed Amount
Hay (best quality) 9 to 12 kg
MyoCare or Naturell-Mix 1 to 1.5 kg

*for Naturell-Mix: Mineral Organic+ 80-100 g

Tips for your horse:

Do not feed haylage or silage. Energy intake should be sufficient, as weight loss/muscle breakdown places strain on the liver! A very good quality of proteins, i.e. the supply of essential amino acids, is essential to protect the liver, but should be provided in a reduced amount! In addition, a good supply of vitamins A, E, C and B should be ensured.
