Pure nature for your horse: We at marstall love using natural ingredients in our products. That's why we also love our Salzstein – a piece of naturally preserved salt from the Himalayan region, rich in minerals and long-lasting!
Our Salzstein with natural minerals and trace elements for all horses.
To take you to the source of our salt licks, we need to travel back 250 million years: this is where the Himalayan mountain massif formed, with its vast salt deposits in the south-western foothills. Our salt licks are extracted there piece by piece, washed in brine, sun-dried and individually wrapped in foil – each stone is unique! This careful extraction process ensures that our salt licks retain all the natural minerals and trace elements of genuine natural salt – unlike salts obtained by flushing salt mines with water vapour pressure. Particularly noteworthy is the high sodium chloride (NaCl) content of > 97.50% – table salt quality in accordance with the Codex Alimentarius.
Tip
Thanks to the pre-drilled hole and the cord included in the delivery, you can attach the salt lick with ease. Due to its particular hardness, horses cannot bite off pieces of the salt.
