Vitamin B5
Vitamin B5 is also known as pantothenic acid. It plays an important role in energy metabolism, in the synthesis and breakdown of carbohydrates, fats and amino acids, as well as in the formation of red blood pigments and bile fluid. It is also involved in immune metabolism and the formation of antibodies. A deficiency can lead to fatigue, sore muscles and immune weakness. In the case of a deficiency, other B vitamins are usually also involved.
