Hyperlipidaemia
Blood fat elevation, also known as hyperlipidaemia, is a metabolic disorder that leads to fatty liver. Here, the typically overweight animals consume too little energy, e.g. through an overly drastic diet aimed at weight loss. As a result, the body breaks down a disproportionate amount of its fat reserves, which the liver cannot process.
