Overview R
Rosehip
Rosehips are the fruits of various wild rose species. Most commonly, the fruits of the dog rose and the alpine rose are used as a remedy. As early as the Middle Ages, rosehip was used in medicine to treat various ailments (e.g. colds, stomach and intestinal complaints).
Nowadays, its high vitamin C content (up to 20 times that of a lemon) is particularly valued, as it is especially beneficial for the immune system. Rosehips also contain minerals, trace elements and pectins, as well as fruit acids and tannins. Rosehip powder is also used to support the natural function of the joints.
