Our marstall Basis can support a horse’s physical development and is an ideal roughage supplement, particularly for your sport and breeding horses. We have chosen high-quality, protein-rich alfalfa, which, combined with molasses and vegetable oil, makes Basis a rich source of crude fibre.
Basis is a nutritious, structurally balanced feed for demanding horses.
Our feed for special circumstances consists of chopped straw and alfalfa fibres. These palatable roughage components can stimulate your horse’s chewing activity and thus enhance even grain-based rations: saliva production is increased, which improves the digestibility of the feed. Molasses is rich in vitamins, minerals, trace elements and phytochemicals, whilst rapeseed oil contains valuable omega-3 fatty acids. We have tailored this special Basis-formula to horses that require a slightly different feed: horses in training to build up their condition, breeding horses, horses that are poor feed converters, or horses with hay dust or fungal spore allergies – this is where the special properties of our Basis feed come into play.
