Our marstall Alpaka is the perfect complement to daily forage – we have carefully tailored the recipe with hydrothermally processed grain flakes, methionine-rich protein and omega-3 plant oil to the specific needs of llamas and alpacas, so that your animals feel completely at ease. Alpaka – the plus for your camelids!
Alpaka is a rich complementary feed for llamas and alpacas.
Our goal is to provide your animals with the best possible care and support in their daily lives. Fine wool fibres require essential methionine. This amino acid is found in soya and brewer's yeast. Vitamins D and E are particularly important during the winter months, which is why they could not be left out of our recipe. Valuable trace elements such as copper and zinc support the wool production in your camelids, while zinc is important for healthy skin. As part of the intracellular antioxidant system, selenium is an essential component for musculature and complements the properties of vitamin E – you will find these components in Alpaka as well. Valuable crude fibre and easily digestible grain flakes serve as the basis for optimum supply.
Llamas and alpacas are naturally adapted to extensive husbandry and feeding. The vegetation of their mountainous homeland between 3,000 and 5,000 metres above sea level consisted predominantly of short, tough grasses. Such stems are rich in crude fibre, robust and contain many minerals and trace elements. We at marstall therefore recommend a combined feeding approach.
As pure herbivores, alpacas and llamas should receive late-cut hay that is rich in crude fibre and can be supplemented with some straw if needed. Regular access to pasture and a salt lick are also recommended. Since basic forage in our latitudes often does not supply the fluffy camelids with sufficient nutrients, we recommend feeding a mineralised muesli (e.g. marstall Alpaka) or a suitable mineral feed.
This should be tailored to the specific requirements of alpacas and llamas. Nutritional demands increase particularly during periods of high demand, such as in pregnant or lactating females, growing young animals in growth, or in stud males. The same applies during the period of wool production or when building body condition. Even when llamas and alpacas perform particular activities, such as trekking or at shows, an adequate energy and mineral supply should be ensured.

Tiere lieben es
Sehr gutes Zusatzfutter.
