Silymarin
Silymarin is found mainly in the skin of ripe milk thistle fruits. When pressed, the substance passes into the milk thistle oil. The content is highest in fruits originating from the Mediterranean region and other warm regions.
Silymarin has proven highly effective in supporting the natural function of the liver. The positive influence of milk thistle has been extensively researched overall. The constituents combat free radicals, support the body in warding off the penetration of toxins during poisoning and support the liver's natural metabolism as a whole.
Please note that commercially available thistle oil is obtained from safflower and does not possess the positive properties described.
