Whether as a feel-good meal or as gentle support for digestion – our marstall Mash is a practical warm meal for horses that need something special. Our recipe is based on tried-and-tested, wholesome ingredients and the experience of our stable family. And there's another plus: our Mash is incredibly easy to prepare thanks to a short soaking time – no cooking required!
Mash is a warm meal for horses in special life situations.
Our Mash is free from sugar, molasses, essential oils and preservatives. Instead, your horse benefits from the swelling mucilages of linseed, which have a positive and restorative effect on the gastric and intestinal mucosa. Pectins from palatable apple pomace and fibre-rich bran are gentle on the digestive tract. Over the course of a horse's life, there can be many stressful situations. Whether after worming treatments, surgery, foaling or periods of psychological strain: the easily digestible blend stimulates appetite, gut function and metabolism, while the polyunsaturated fatty acids also promote coat shine.
Our mash is also suitable for poor doers and senior horses. Thanks to its balanced ratio of calcium and phosphorus, Mash can also be used as a concentrate replacement. However, we recommend adding a mineral supplement such as marstall Force, MineralOrganic+ or the Stall- or Weide-Riegel. This is because we have deliberately chosen not to add any vitamins or minerals – so you can combine Mash with any feeding ration or veterinary treatment, exactly as your horse needs at any given time.

Feeding recommendation
Amount
~100 to 200 g per 100 kg live weight/day
1 litre of marstall Mash = approximately 450 grams
Example ration per day for a horse with a live weight of 600 kg

Preparation
Mix marstall Mash with the same quantity of hot water (no boiling required). Leave to stand for approximately 15 to 20 minutes before feeding, then stir well and feed at hand-warm temperature (carry out a warmth test). Please always prepare mash fresh and remove any feed residues (where present) from the trough for hygiene reasons. marstall Mash is also suitable for older horses.
Ration recommendation
For feeding, we base our recommendations on the latest guidance and assume a minimum roughage intake (hay) of at least 1.5 kg per 100 kg live weight/day. For more than 150 g per 100 kg live weight, the amount should be divided across the day into at least 2 partial rations. This can also be given on a long-term basis or until digestion improves. marstall Mash contains no added vitamins and minerals, so it can be added individually to any ration. If it is fed as the sole concentrate feed over a longer period, we recommend adding a mineral feed such as marstall Force or MineralOrganic+.

Fohlen gerettet
Stute hatte 10 Tage nach Geburt eine schwere Kolik. Tierarzt empfahl uns fünfmal pro Tag das Mash zu füttern, damit sie wenigstens ein bisschen zu Kräfte kommt nach den Infusionen sowie die Milchproduktion wieder angeregt wurde.
