The modern approach to traditional feeding: Our marstall Zucht-Klassik combines proven stud horse feeding with the practical experience of our stable family. Oats, highly digestible flaked grains, high-quality proteins, omega-3 fatty acids and much more await your four-legged friend – with a moderate, well-digestible amount of starch per meal.
Zucht-Klassik is a muesli specially formulated for breeding horses.
Our Zucht-Klassik meets the increased energy requirements of your mare with highly digestible, hydrothermally processed flaked grains, oats and omega-3 fatty acids. Further ingredients include pure, 100% utilisable L-lysine, soya and brewer's yeast with high levels of essential amino acids in pure form – essential for the growth of the foal in the womb and the formation of milk protein. Calcium, phosphorous, copper, zinc and manganese support the development of the foal's joints and bones. Organic selenium from selenium yeast improves its vitality and immune defence. Selenium yeast, zinc and beta-carotene, along with vitamins A and E, complete our recipe.
In addition to mares, stallions also benefit from Zucht-Klassik. The essential amino acids in pure form, selenium, beta-carotene and vitamins A and E can improve sperm volume and sperm quality. Our stud muesli also supports condition and overall appearance and promotes a balanced temperament.
Tip
What you should know about your mare's nutritional requirements: Particularly for mares that are poor doers or are covered during winter, feeding additional beta-carotene and high-quality protein has proven beneficial from approximately four weeks before covering until the 3rd week of pregnancy. The pregnant mare does not require an increased nutrient supply from this point until the 7th month of pregnancy. From the 8th month of pregnancy, the foal develops rapidly in the womb, which increases the mare's requirements. The same applies to lactation (the nursing period) after foaling.
