Diarrhoea
Diarrhoea is watery droppings that are passed frequently and in larger quantities for a period of time. It is the body’s reaction to expel the intestinal contents quickly. It can have numerous specific causes, including incorrect feeding, constant hyperacidity, a lack of raw fibre, turning out to pasture too quickly, internal diseases, infections or worm infestation.
Diarrhoea in horses can range from mild to life-threatening. It is advisable to have the cause clarified by a vet.
